Salt Lake City, UT-Dixie Ruth Black Gremlich, age 80, passed away July 23, 2013, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born September 9, 1932, in Salt Lake City, to William Cline Black and Ruth Mary Miller Black. Married Kurt F. Gremlich, September 22, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from East High in 1952.
Dixie was an active member of the LDS church serving in many callings throughout her life. She was passionate about Family History and brought the saving ordinances to countless individuals. She was known for her beautiful voice and sang with many choirs and as a soloist over the years. Lifelong member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Survived by her children Fred (Gail) of West Jordan, Randy (Diane) of Kingman, AZ, and Heidi (Robert) Deadman of Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren and 7, soon to be 8, great-grandchildren; brothers Jay, Jerry and Anton Black and sister Ann Lake.
Funeral services will be held Monday July 29, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Forestview Ward Chapel, 1111 East Charlton Avenue, (2800 South) Salt Lake City. Family and friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City; and 9:00-9:45 a.m.at the ward Monday.
Entombment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Everlasting Gardens Mausoleum.
