Duane Dubay Young, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on May 7, 2014.
Born February 16, 1946 in Hollywood CA. to Grant W. and Lorraine DuBay Young. He was married to Nancy Anderson and had 3 children, they later divorced. He married Linda Young Aug. 10, 1981. He graduated from Judge Memorial High School and received his Business degree from the University of Utah. He was an Air Force Veteran and served in Vietnam. Duane was a businessman and shared his love of golfing, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; brother, Lance Young (Barbara); his children, Craig Young (Coleen), Cindy Sims (Darren), Amy Deahr (Chris); stepchildren, Justin (Cynthia), Kelly VonEberstein (the late Hala); his grandchildren; Tom, A.J. and Nate Young (their mother Lisa Radke), Matthew, Riley, Haddie and Jake Sims, Alex, Carson, Macee and Maren Deahr, Alyssa, Jagger and Io VonEberstein; sister-in-law, Gloria Anderson; brother-in-law, Nick Carlisle.
Duane was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Young, and two sisters; Joan McDonough and Dianne Carlisle.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 12, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St., visitation starts at 9 a.m. Burial will take place at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, immediately following the service.
