Henrietta Adams "Etta" Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away August 24, 2009 at the age of 93. Born October 27, 1915 to Herman and Jennie Gygi in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Glen Adams, March 17, 1942 in Seaside, Oregon, starting their life together as wartime sweethearts and enjoying more than 50 years together. Mother showed love to her family with her talent as a seamstress and cooking family dinners. Her dinners weren't just delicious, they were events bringing together family members and creating cherished memories. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, mother lived in the same ward for over 50 years. She served in the Relief Society and as ward librarian. Survived by children, Dale Bounds, Shirley (Jess) Ramsley, Cindy (Kent) Anderson of Arlington, Texas, and Robert (Lynne) Adams of Seattle, Washington; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Also by brothers and sister, Herman Gygi, George Gygi, and Sylvia Albertson. Services will be held August 28, 2009 at Jenkins-Soffe Chapel, 4760 South State Street, at 11:00 a.m. where the viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
