Henry Huish Obituary
1923 ~ 2014
Henry A. Huish, best known for his years as General Superintendent of U. S. Steel's Geneva Works, died in Salt Lake City on Friday, January 24, 2014 of natural causes, attended by his daughter, Rebecca Dimick. He was born on July 16, 1923 in Payson Utah to Henry A. "Dutch" Huish and Della Daniels Huish. He graduated from Provo High and then studied electrical engineering at the University of Utah and became a lifelong Ute fan and booster. He married, the love of his life, Bettie Jean Kimber Huish on March 24, 1944 which began a beautiful partnership lasting for 55 years until Bettie's recent death in 2009.
He is survived by his two children, a daughter Rebecca Huish Dimick, a son, Henry Brent Huish, four grandchildren, Matthew Dimick, A. J. Dimick, Dane Huish, Lindsay Huish and four Great Grandchildren, Ivy, Cedric, Annabel and Della Dimick.
His legacy was as a community builder and family provider.
His Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at noon at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary at 495 South State Street, Orem, Utah. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at
