Jane Junko Yamashita Allen 1956 ~ 2010 Jane Junko Yamashita Allen arrived as the "Life of the Party" on Mother's Day, May 9, 1956 to Kiyoshi and Suzue Usami Yamashita, little sister to Gerald and Gary. She was raised in Culver City, CA where she attended school, graduated from Venice High School, made life-long friends; the closest being Margie, Sharon and Casey. She survived on Tito's Tacos, Johnnie's Pastrami and donuts made by her brother, Gary. Jane worked 10 years at GTE and spent 32 years working on her tan! She enjoyed her family, tagging along with Gary, shopping, traveling, the beach, amusement parks, vacationing, the sun, living at home, and experiencing EVERYTHING with her cherished friends. She was proud of her brother Gerald's service in the Navy. She married Mark Allen and moved to Missouri where she received the first of her most treasured gifts: her daughter, Nicole. She followed her parents to Utah in 1992 to be with her family and where she received her beloved son, Cody. She loved family gatherings, camping, boating, fishing, snow skiing and eating out. She loved working with her dear friends whom she loved at Fairchild National Semiconductor these last nine years. She will miss listening to 70's music, pink flowers, Maui trips, wearing flip flops, her dog, playing slots, being with her family and friends, but most of all being a single mom and going shopping with Nicole and listening to Cody read. Her heart broke five months ago when her beloved Mom left to join her Dad in Heaven. She couldn't wait any longer to join them. She fought Pancreatic Cancer for 11 months NEVER giving up and won the battle on April 26, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole (19), her son, Cody (11), brother, Gerald, brother, Gary, sister-in-law, Lauri, nephew, Timothy, niece, Kerri; many loving friends and relatives across the U.S. and Japan. A celebration of her life will be held on May 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.), South Jordan, UT 84096. Jane requested Aloha shirts and bright colors as attire for the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to her children's trust. Her ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean attended by her family and friends. We will miss our "Life of the Party" and her never-ending smile! We will always love you, Janie! Mahalo and Aloha!
