Janell Luscher Obituary
Janell B. Goudy Luscher of South Jordan, Utah passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on December 25, 2013. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 31, 1959 to Donald Ray Goudy Sr. and Clara Rosalia Borgeson.
When she was fourteen the family moved to Santaquin. Janell graduated from Payson High School and Snow College. She attended BYU Hawaii for a semester where she fell in love with the ocean and culture. During Christmas break in 1979, she fell in love with Timothy Walter Luscher and they were sealed in the Provo temple for time and eternity on Friday June 13, 1980. They started married life in Salmo, British Columbia, Canada.
Janell formed friendships where ever she lived; Salmo, B C; Lethbridge, Alberta; Portland, Oregon, Battle Ground, WA; and South Jordan, Utah. Throughout Janell's life her testimony of our Savior was reflected in the service she rendered to family, church, and community.
Janell was constantly smiling and did not let life get her down. She always let her faith in God guide her through her trials. Janell's life centered around Tim and their three girls, Ashley, Whitney and Heidi. She loved sewing, crocheting, photography, toilet papering, and practical jokes.
Janell was preceded in death by her parents, sister Heather (Goudy) Ennis and brother Donald Ray (Sharon) Goudy Jr, She is survived by her husband, Tim; daughters: Ashley, Whitney and Heidi; siblings: Daniel (Karla) Goudy, Andrew (Keela) Goudy, Holly (Dan) Joseph, Jordan (Marylynn) Goudy, Debbie (Mark) Erickson, Tom (Debbie) Augustus and sister-in-law Sharon Goudy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 30, 2013 at the South Jordan Highland Stake Center at 10227 South 4000 West, South Jordan, Utah 84095. A viewing will be held Sunday December 29, 2013 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the funeral at the same location.
Interment will be at Santaquin City Cemetery.
The family extends their gratitude to all who have endlessly served Janell and her family with special thanks to Susie and other hospice caregivers. Flowers may be delivered to the church location above between 5 and 5:30 PM Sunday or after 9 AM Monday. Directors Independent Funeral Service.

Dear Tim, I am so sorry I was out of town and missed Jan's beautiful funeral, which I have heard only good about. You are a great example to all of us of selfless service, devotion, and enduring to the end. I feel so privileged to have known a Celestial Being like Jan, and you, too, Timmy! NOT all men would have done what you have done! You have a wonderful attitude about life, and the Criner's have enjoyed your motto: "It is what it is". We are so sorry for your loss but can't help but celebrate the wonderful person Jan was to everyone she met! She was so giving and full of service with a smile! We have so many great memories of time spent with your family in our youthful days! Our thoughts and prayers are with Tim and his daughters at this difficult time. We knew Janell for such a short time but felt she had a powerful influence on everyone she came in contact with. She understood her relationship with God and was able to love everyone and everything because of it. What a wonderful women and such a wonderful strong family. She will be missed but not forgotten.
