Jeremy was one of the Assistants to the President when I began to serve as a Missionary. He was a bright beacon of confidance and compassion. He taught me a lot and I enjoyed tracking with him. He was amazing then and helped me develope a desire to serve my mission with all my energy. All my best goes to his wife and his family. I am so very saddened by your loss.

Along with heavy hearts in losing Jer as a close special friend, our hearts are heavy for his very special family. After attending the funeral services and being witness to the special spirit there, we find comfort in knowing what we do about eternal life. Our lives have been changed forever...after our close association with Jeremy and after our experience yesterday. He truly is an example to all and we will honestly try to emulate his 'plethora' of great qualities. Please know of our love and support for you all, especially Min, Brinci, Tobi, and Gage whom we love dearly.

I only knew Jeremy for a short time as we worked in the Boy Scout program. He seemed to me to be genuine, happy, competent and just an all around great person. He will be greatly missed by many in the Scouting program.

May the Lord bless the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Melinda, your father-in-law brought much peace when he quoted Doctrine & Covenants 101:16 Therefore, let your hearts be comforted... be still and know that I am God.
He knows and loves you, and will be with you continuously.

Melinda and family, I am sorry for your loss I have known Jeremy way back from jr. High all the way through high school I had not seen Jeremy since his farewell on his way to Canada. I wish I had kept up with him. I know one thing each person he came in contact with had a shot. He had a smile and a nod to put a person in distress to calm. He had an influence on me I know without a doubt. I remember saying to another friend we shared "Why can't I be in a good mood like Kunz is?" I really am a better person having known him. My first reaction was anger knowing he died at the hands of someone else. I now hope that people will come together and honor Jeremy for what he accomplished here. I know he left footprints because he made several in my life. You are in my prayers and my families prayers.

Dear Kunz Family: Our family's thoughts and prayers are with you. My wife and I were also participants at the relay (my fourth) and I am heartbroken about this tragedy. I lost my father in an airplane accident while he was serving as a mission president. A general authority at that time (who had lost his father himself when he was young) said that his father had been an incredible influence on his life even from the other side of the veil and that he was still helping him from the other side. I can truly say that in the 17 years since my own father's death his influence in my life is constant and present. Jeremy is not physically with you but he is not gone. I pray that you receive all the comfort and help you stand in need of as you grieve for your separation from Jeremy. Sincerely,
The Jimenez Family

We also ran the Ragnar Vegas race and were informed at Exchange 24 of the awful tragedy. Please know that our thoughts are with Melinda, their kids, and the rest of the extended family at this time. It will be prayers that are answered by our loving, compassionate Heavenly Father that will get you through this difficult time. May God bless you.
