Jesse Joseph Summers Obituary
1935 ~ 2018
On July 8, 2018, Jesse Joseph Summers was honorably released from his earthly mission. That mission began in 1935 when he was born to Verrel Vernon and Alene P. Summers in Montana.
He married the love of his life, Verda, for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in March of 1954.
He leaves behind his wife and three children, Elaine (John) Horejs of Arizona; Jesse (Terrilyn) Summers of Utah, and Lamont (Annette) Summers of Idaho; 19 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. He also leaves one sister Carol Ann (Gary) Lee and one brother Douglas (Carolyn) Summers.
Jess could always be found with a smile, a story, a joke and a song. His idea of heaven was someone who would listen to his stories. He would amaze his grandchildren by singing a song that included any word or topic they could throw his way.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Country Oaks Ward, 2680 E. Cherry Lane, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
