Jolene Boel Clark Obituary
1940 ~ 2012
Jolene Boel Clark passed from this mortal life on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, into the loving arms of Heavenly Father. She was born in Provo, Utah, on January 9, 1940, to Joseph Myrle and Ruth Richards Boel.
A darling baby with dark hair and dark eyes, Jolene was the second in a family of five children. Her early education included Timpanogos Elementary, Dixon Junior High, and Provo High School, from which she graduated in 1958. She also later attended BYU. Before her marriage, Jolene spent time working at Hedquist Drugs in Provo, Jackson Lake Lodge in Wyoming, a bank in Southern California, and then for the government in Washington DC. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she especially enjoyed working with the children in Primary, starting as a teacher in that organization in her teenage years.
Jolene met Roland Shipley Clark in December of 1962 and after a whirlwind courtship, they were married for eternity on April 12, 1963, in the Manti Temple. Together, Roland and Jolene have six wonderful children: Loren (Heidi), Trevin (Ann), Nathan (Julie), Melissa (Robert Seastrand), Heidi, and Tyler, all of Utah. Jolene was always the cheerleader, carpooler, and supporter of their scouting, drama, music, and academic experiences. Jolene loved being a grandma to her thirteen grandchildren, sharing her love of music, card making, and games with them. She loved gathering and sharing recipes. Everyone loved her Thanksgiving stuffing, orange rolls, brownies, and frozen raspberry salad. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Jolene is survived by her loving husband; six children; twelve grandchildren; her brother, Joseph Richard (Bonnie); sister, Christine (John Curtis Cropper); stepsister, Colleen (Ed Jensen); and brothers-in-law, Rey Johnson (Carolyn) and Thomas Grisard. Jolene has stepped through the veil to meet her parents; stepmother Hazel; sisters, Bethanne Johnson and Sondra Grisard; and grandson, Spencer Clark.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 22, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 E., Salt Lake City, Utah. The funeral will be held at the Holladay 24th LDS Ward building located at 4395 S. Albright Dr. (2145 E.) in Holladay, on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 11:00 AM, with visitation prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will take place in the Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S., Salt Lake City, Utah.
