Our beloved Joseph D. Giron passed away April 1, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born November 22, 1960 to Joe R Giron and Anamarie Esquibel Giron in Salt Lake City. Joe Married Maria Vanessa Hererra on March 12, 2013.
Joseph (Jody) worked for VCBO Architects for many years. He was a hard worker and loved everything he did. He had great enthusiasm for life, work, and family creating a positive outlook on life with everyone he touched. His love for Vanessa was as big as the world itself and he looked forward to each day. Loving the outdoors and having an adventurous spirit he was the rock of our family always planning and organizing. Jody was a great spirit with never ending patience and understanding, always there to help a friend and family member.
Joe was courageous and a fighter with his battle to survive, all he wanted was to live. He never gave up and endured months of treatment and pain. He always greeted everyone with a big smile and he flowed with energy for all. He was an avid reader of the Bible and knew most of it by heart. Special thanks to the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital, cousins, Paul and Michael Giron, and the caring staff at VCBO.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Vanessa, daughters, Adrianna and Trinity, stepsons, Joshua (Victoria) and Jeremy, step grandkids, Maximus and Julius, mother, Anamarie, brother, Angelo, sisters, Susy, Christine, Mary Ann, Cecilia, nieces and nephews, Amber, Augustine, Darreld, Frank, David, Daniel, Joey, Alejandro and numerous family and friends that meant so very much to him.
Preceded in death by his father, Joe, grandparents, Joe and Dulcinea Giron, Doroteo and Mae Esquibel.
A Rosary Mass will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 715 West 300 North Salt Lake City, from 10-11 a.m. with a Funeral Mass following. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn.
