Kevin Starley Obituary
1983 - 2013
Kevin Matthew Starley, loving father, brother and son, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2013. Kevin was born on June 16, 1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Steven L. and Lynette H. Starley. Kevin was an accomplished home remodeling specialist and learned the trade while working for Progressive Remodelers. He then worked as an oil field safety specialist for Total Safety, traveling from northern Montana to southern Texas. Kevin then returned to his love of remodeling, working for Woodruff Construction. He was an absolute artist in this field of work. Kevin married Shannon Hamby (later divorced) and has a beautiful daughter, Amelia Jane, from this union. Amelia was the pride and joy of his life. Kevin was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, camping and hiking whenever possible.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandfather Ellery, grandmothers Sybil and Mona, uncles Dale and Chris and nephew Erik. Kevin is survived by his parents, brothers, Michael (Liz) and Andrew (fiance Aimee Peterson), daughter Amelia, fiance Colleen Gallagher and his beloved dog Louis.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, (10600 South) Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:30-2:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.

Dear Lynette and Family, It is hard to find the words to convey how much sympathy I feel for your family at this time. My heart and prayers are with you that you will be comforted by the holy spirit at this time of great sorrow!
I have some fun memories of Kevin. As a little guy he went with us when we went to dinner and was an active little guy. Then when Lynette, Kevin and Michael lived with me while your house was being built. They were so cute and add such fun to my otherwise boring house!
Kevin will always hold that special place in my heart. He was a strong, hard working man and you can be proud of the things he accomplished.
May God bless your family and the good memories of Kevin will comfort you as you work through these sad times.
