Lynn Richard "Birdman" Bird Jr. Obituary
"Birdman"
1959 ~ 2018
Our son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and dear friend, Lynn, passed away on August 27, 2018, at home peacefully with his mother, sister and man's best friend, Buster, by his side.
Lynn was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 26, 1959 to Lynn and Inez Bird. He grew up in West Valley City and graduated from Granger High School. After graduation he chose to follow in his father's footsteps and became a Journeyman Electrician and has been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 354 for the last 41 years.
Known to his close friends as Birdman and to his neighbors as Bird, he liked the outdoors, including golfing, skiing, fishing, hunting and the occasional trip to Wendover. He enjoyed time with his children and family. He will be remembered for his quick wit and love of beer and football.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lynn Sr. and his son, Dustin.
Survived by his mother, Inez, daughters, Taylor Bandin and Sarah Bird, sister Teresa(Mike) Braithwaite, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, niece, nephew, and his close and dear to his heart friend, Rachelle.
We would like to thank his friends and neighbors for their love and support. We give special thanks to Marina and Doug and many other nurses from CNS Hospice, for keeping him comfortable at the end of his life.
He is loved and will be incredibly missed.
Please come and join us in celebration of his life.
