Margaret Mordue Allen 1931 ~ 2009 Margaret Mordue Allen died May 30, 2009 of natural causes.Born September 28, 1931 in Santa Monica, California to Ruben Elmo Mordue and Winona Blanche Hansen. Married to Bruce G. Egbert (divorced), Carl L. Oberg (deceased), and Jay H. Allen. Attended high school in Canoga Park California, graduated from BYU in nursing, and worked in nursing for 15 years. She spent her life living in California and Utah. She was a life long member of the LDS church. As a little child, she led her family back to activity in the LDS church. She served as a Relief Society President three times. She also served in the Jordan River Temple. She was an example to all that knew her, in her great faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, especially to her children. Survived by her husband Jay H. Allen, children Michael (Wilma) Egbert, Jodi (Jim) Finlayson, and Patrick (Jeanine) Egbert. Step-children Jon (Robin) Oberg, Jill (Dan) Valentine, Joni (Aldo) Van Mujien, Jennifer Oberg, Steve (Joanne) Allen, Peggie (Wayne) Watson, and Russell (Diane) Allen. 37 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Oberg, daughter Cathy Egbert, stepdaughter Jana Oberg Mione, and grandsons Brandon Egbert and Douglas Allen. Viewing will be held Wednesday, June 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 West South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 S) South Jordan, Utah. Funeral Thursday, June 4th, 11:00 a.m., River Ridge Stake Center, 10168 S. 1100 West (enter off of 1000 West), viewing held one hour prior.
