1925 ~ 2013|
Our beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on September 19, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born January 20, 1925 in Beaver, Utah to John and Nellie Tolton.
Marilyn graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah. She worked as an administrative assistant for 35 years. After retiring from the phone company she worked for ZCMI selling handbags, which were her love. She had a handbag for every outfit she wore and was said that she never wore the same outfit twice. She was a diehard chocolate lover. She had chocolate hidden everywhere and her grandchildren loved finding her latest hiding spot. She was very generous, friendly, kind and loved by everyone that met her. She loved traveling, reading, and going to all the family activities.
The family would like to thank the staff at Silverado Aspen Park for all the love, friendship and care that they provided to Marilyn.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Allen; daughter-in-law, Kathy; grandchildren, Zak, Nicole and Brandon; her dear friend, Gene Magers; stepchildren, Robert (Holly), Larry (Marilyn), Clair (Donna), Mike (Lynette), Kay (Briant); and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
