1954 ~ 2013|
My wife, mother of our children and countless other kids who found our front door open, peacefully passed away in her sleep the morning of June 6, 2013 after long courageous battles with multiple cancers. Mary has gone to be in the presence of the Lord and join those who've preceded her.
Mary was born in Los Angeles, CA, a great gift of love to her adoptive parents Ervin and Thora Kraus on September 21, 1954. Mary grew up in Muskego, WI where she loved spending her time on Lake Denoon. Shortly after graduating from Muskego High, she met the love of her life, John. They married in September 1973 and were blessed with five beautiful children each born in a different state or country.
Mary was a master crafter of all kinds. She also loved bible study and bowling. She enjoyed bringing smiles to others faces but most importantly, spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow.
Mary was greeted in heaven by her son Jason and her parents. Mary is survived by her husband John, children: Jeremy (Michelle Lee), Melissa (Rudy), Erika (Travis), Christopher and her grandchildren: Chase, Christian, Cera, Evan, Hannah, Tyler, brother Gerry Kraus, sisters Carol Steiner and Sue Anthony.
Our family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Frame and his staff at U.C.S. as well as the countless other doctors and nurses who have cared for my wife and our mom through this journey.
Public Services will be held at Lifeline Community, 4431 West 8200 South, West Jordan, UT on Saturday June 22nd, 2013 beginning at 2:00 P.M. The family has requested casual dress for the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, a food drive will be held in Mary's honor. Please bring non-perishable items to the service, Donations will be forwarded to the Utah/local food bank in Mary's name.
