Nathaniel Wiebe Obituary

Feb. 29, 2012 ~ Nov. 1, 2012
Born to Phil and Melissa Wiebe on this special Leap Day 2012 at home in St George, Utah. Our healthy baby boy went to sleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus November 1, 2012 in St. George, Utah.
We only had 8 short months with this sweet Chunky Monkey, who always had a big toothless smile, and the longest eyelashes on his big bright eyes. He was just learning to crawl and pull himself up, he was beginning to explore his world.
He is survived by his parents, Phil and Melissa, and his big sister Ella. Canadian Family- Grandparents, Robert and Teresa Wiebe, Uncle Dave and Aunt Lin, cousin Kelcey, Uncle Chris "Tiffer", Aunt Sydney, Great Grandparents Henry and Helen Wiebe and many more family members and friends. USA Family- Grandparents DeLon and Barbara Askvig, Uncle David and Aunt Jackie, cousin Mae, Great Grandparents Richard and Darlene Askvig, Bud and Betty Gunderson and many more family members and countless friends.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life for our sweet little Nathaniel, Wednesday, November 7th, 1:00p.m. at Calvary Chapel 3922 Pioneer Road St. George, UT 84790. Phil, Melissa & sweet little Ella - even though we're far away and couldn't be there to celebrate Nate's short little life, we just wanted you to know that we were with you. We feel your pain and heartbreak and pray for courage to face the days ahead. We would so loved to have met him in person but we also feel we did know him through your photos and words on facebook. We celebrate with you that you were able to enjoy the time that you had with him and are grateful that he is safe his the Heavenly Father's arms. Rick & Marg

I was able to watch the Celebration of Life at SMCC today! I got to meet Nate about 6 weeks ago in the Nursery at Mops at SMCC! He was crying and I asked the ladies if I could come in and rock him. What a sweet heart. He looked right in my face, with those beautiful eyes and eye lashes. He went right to sleep. I was blessed that day! I thank God that In such a short time I got to know him!

It makes no sense that a lovely young couple would have to lose a child, but for some reason God has allowed this to happen. I am reading "Plan B" right now and it discusses how things often do not go the way that we expect in life. My prayer for you is that you would find hope in Christ and peace in knowing that you will see your little boy again one day!

God chose the perfect and most loving family to place your precious Nate into. His joyful countenance and loving spirit reflected the abundance of love he soaked up from his gracious parents and adoring sister, Ella, as well as countless family and friends! He will never be forgotten. One day, you will see him again. Reunions are the best especially when they are in the presence and glory of God!

My heart and love go out to all of you! The journey we have here, on this earth, is not an easy one. But with the strength and courage from our Lord, He gives us the will to go on. XO

I was shocked when Laura told me of your loss. No words can describe the feeling of your loss but sweet Nate is in the presence of our Lord. He will be there to greet us all one day. May our Lord's comfort fill you all. In Christ

I saw your beautiful baby boy and read the article. My heart aches, knowing all to well what it's like to lose a child. The ache never goes away, and when people say "time will heal your heart, it doesn't help, neither does it help to hear that "they're in a better place". It took me awhile but I finally realized that there was some comfort, my daughter was the only one I didn't worry about. May God bless you and know your not alone.

A beautiful angel indeed. May his spirit and smile always burn in your mind and heart. God bless you.

It saddened me greatly to hear of the loss of your sweet boy Nathaniel on sun while attending church. I am a stranger to you although we both have our sweet little boys watching over us as guardian angels. We lost our Beautiful 5 month old sweet baby boy 5 months ago yesterday. I know well there is no comfort for this pain of parting; the wound always remains. I hope you will find some peace in the memories you have of sweet Nathaniel. May you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. You will be in our prayers.
