Ronald Louie Chesnik Obituary
August 1952 ~ Sept. 2013
Ronald Louie Chesnik 61 died September 18 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born on August 2 1952 in Murray Utah to Louie Chesnik and Donna Basta Chesnik McFarlane. They lived in Somerset Colorado and eventually moved back to Salt Lake City Utah. He graduated from Hillcrest High School where he enjoyed playing football, wrestling and met his his future wife Susan Catherine Thompson Tuckett. Ron and Susan had had 3 children Justin; Amy; and Tricia,and later divorced. Ron met and later remarried Bonnie Tuft where he opened his heart and arms to her two children Chad and Brandie. Ron worked in the construction industry for 45 years where he was a master of many trades. Ron was highly sought after for his creativity and the pride he took managing some of the best crews and completing some of the largest and highest profiled buildings in the west.
Ron enjoyed nothing more than dreaming big, mountain rides on his prized side by side, motor sports, fishing but most of all his family; from telling his famous stories to coaching the kids on the football field and making his root beer floats.
Ron is survived by his Mother Donna Basta Chesnik McFarlane; his brother Robert Chesnik (Linda); his wife Bonnie Tuft; his sons Justin Chesnik (Jennifer); Chad Tuft (Tiffany); daughters Amy Painter (Gabe); Tricia Carter (Matt); Brandie Moody (Matt); and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Louie Chesnik; his Grandfather Steven Basta; Step grandmother Molly Anne Moris (Basta); Step grandfather Clayton Moris.

We will forever keep you in our hearts and miss your light for life. We love you dad and will see at the Lake.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 24th at Meadows 9th Ward 5750 N. Cimmaron Road Las Vegas, Nevada 89149 starting at 11:00. Ron will be laid to rest at Sandy City Cemetery in Sandy Utah.
