1991 ~ 2013|
Shelbie Louise Nicholes, loving daughter, sister, cousin, friend, and aunt, passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2013, at the young age of 21. Shelbie was born October 26, 1991. She had many passions in life, the biggest being her pets. She had three cats, a dog, and a hedgehog. Caring for them was one of her greatest joys. In her younger years, Shelbie enjoyed spending summers with her grandparents in New Harmony. She loved her niece, Myka, as if she was her own, and the special bond that they shared will never be forgotten. Shelbie is loved not only by her family, but by her friends at City Academy as well. During her time as a student there, she helped to maintain the gardens. She also worked with her mother in the yard at home. Shelbie had the biggest and kindest heart and would do anything for her family and friends, without question. She never hesitated to give what was hers to the ones that she loved. Shelbie is a bright spot in everyone's lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving parents, Tim and Alta Nicholes, her siblings Cody (Calli) Jenkins, Brittany Nicholes, and T.J. Nicholes, her niece Myka Nicholes, her grandparents Don and Ellen Skabelund and Grandma Boots, as well as many aunts uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Hillcrest 9th Ward, 915 Peach Blossom Drive (9270 South), Sandy, Utah at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call Sunday evening at the Holladay-Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Drive from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shelbie Louise Nicholes Estate at U.S. Bank.
