Shelbie Melissa Fox Obituary
March 19, 1998 ~ Feb. 26, 2014
On the early morning of Wednesday, February 26, 2014 our beautiful Shelbie Melissa Fox was finally able to rest peacefully without any pain. Shelbie was born March 19, 1998 in American Fork, Utah. Shelbie had an infectious smile on her face from the day she was born that she carried with her throughout her valiant battle with cancer and all other obstacles that she encountered. She was an inspiration to all. From a very young age Shelbie had a love for music, singing, dancing and cheer. After all the long hours spent in the hospital, Shelbie decided she was going to become a Dr. in order to help other kids, like her Dr.'s had helped her and found enjoyment in reading anatomy books. In her quest to become a Dr. she maintained straight "A's" throughout her schooling and was determined to be a Jr. at UVU by the time she graduated from Westlake High School. She loved her family and friends very much and was always concerned about others before herself.
She is survived by her loving parents: Liz McDermaid (TJ Price), CJ (Darla) Fox, her brother Landon Fox, half-sister Jaycee Fox, her grandparents: Galynn Donovan, Michael (Sharon) Donovan, Robert and Jeanne Fox and her great-grandfather James F. Lafferry Jr.. She is also survived by her step siblings and other extended family.
We would like to thank her Dr's, nurses and other staff that have helped take care of her throughout the years. Shelbie will be greatly loved and missed. We love you Baby Girl! Until we meet again.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Eagle Mt North Stake Center, 8273 Simpson Springs Road, Eagle Mt., Utah.
