Vaughn Ray Owsley
1944 ~ 2018
Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully on February 11, 2018. Born in Tulsa, OK on June 25, 1944 and raised by his loving parents, Clark and Oleta Owsley. He enjoyed his days as a student at Murray High School and was very proud to have served our country in the Navy. During his years in the Navy, he married the love of his life, Peggy Stanley, to whom he was married for 53 years.
He was an honorable businessman and entrepreneur who opened and ran successful businesses throughout his life. He was most passionate about his family and loved being with them always. He was a strong and protective man who lived life to the fullest on his terms. He enjoyed being busy always doing something, whether it was working in his garage or on his computer. Some of his favorite things to do were camping with his family, riding his Razor, fishing, and traveling.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy; his sons: Wade (Diane), Todd, and Chad (Trisha); his grandchildren: Jake, Zach, Tayja, Gavin, Dylan, and Sadie; his great-grandchild, KJ; and his brother, Ron (Connie).
