Obituary Condolences

Marian Kay Baughman 1942 ~ 2011 Marian Kay Baughman was born Sept. 8th, 1942 in Missoula, Montana to John and Mildred Hopkins. She passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 11th at the age of 68 in the company of her caring and loving family members. Marian was married to her life-long companion and devoted husband of 50 years, Stephen G, Baughman, the youngest son of Glenn and Louise Baughman. Marian leaves behind her three children and their spouses: Brandy and Dusten Cooper, Eric and Cyndi Baughman, Brooke and William Hovey and her seven beloved grandchildren: Hayden (12), Collin (9), Alex (9), Zach (7), Halle Pearl (4), Taylor (3) and Tommy (2). Marian was a consummate reader, an avid cook and enjoyed spending warm summer evenings on their patio in the company of her three pugs. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother who brought pure joy and laughter to her grandchildren by embarking on the kinds of adventures, that only she could provide. To her three children she was a pillar of strength, courage, love and support through all of life's turns. To her friends, she was a warm and generous soul, who sought out and appreciated the genuine qualities of others and will be deeply missed by all those close to her. To her dear husband, she was a source of eternal and unconditional love and understanding. Her strong will and unyielding spirit will be greatly missed and uniquely admired for a long, long time to come. A celebration of Marian's life will be held for close friends and family on Sunday, January 16th at the 15th Street Gallery (15th South 15th East) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. with open house to follow.
