Mary Evelyn Wrigley Obituary
Video Memory
1916 ~ 2014
Our beautiful and selfless mother, Evelyn Wrigley, passed away on March 19. She was born to Wesley and Mary Wilmarth in Danville, VA. Her family moved to Utah when she was 8 years old. She graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. After completing cosmetology school she met the love of her life, Bob Wrigley, in a barber shop in Salt Lake. They were married on October 19th, 1936 and had two children, Bobbie Mae, and Wesley Wayne, and raised Vicki Lyn as their daughter. She was a supervisor at Deseret Industries for many years. Her beloved husband passed away in 1971 and she lived independently and actively for 40 years. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren with all of her heart and was always there for them. We will remember her most for her sense of humor and her warm, and caring smile. She enjoyed her independence, being with family, knitting, playing cards, and watching tennis (especially Andre Agassi). Evelyn passed away on March 19, 2014 surrounded by her family in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Carol) Wrigley, Bobbie (Cal) Johnson, Vicki (Todd) Inman, her four Grandchildren, nine Great-grandchildren, and five Great-Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Robinson "Bob" Wrigley, her brother Gary Wilmarth, her parents, and her grandson Calvin Johnson.
Her viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 25th at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 So., from 10:00-10:45 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Condolences may be sent to the family
