1938 - 2014
Gary Albert Cloward, 75, passed away April 22, 2014 in Midvale, Utah. He was born October 6, 1938 in Moroni, Utah to Albert Hyrum and Clara Lucille Cloward. Gary married Norma Thomas on June 24, 1960 in Ferron, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple April 14, 1965.
Gary worked for the railroad briefly and was self-employed as a painting contractor for 35 years. He was a fun-loving man who had a great sense of humor and made friends everywhere he went. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved to go hunting, fishing and take family camping trips. Gary spent many years in the Ute Rangers Riding Club and also loved coaching youth baseball. He is remembered by his family for his great sense of humor and work ethic.

Gary is survived by wife Norma; children Scott Cloward, Wendy Cloward White, Lance Cloward (Katherine), Robby Cloward (Denise); 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters Nyla Adair and Shanna Coats. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
A visitation will be held Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Midvale. Graveside services Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Midvale City Cemetery, 450 West 7500 South.
