Carol Ann Landaal, 82, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 17, 1931 to Hugh Howard and Mildred Houghton Hyde in Salt Lake City. She had one sister Margene Raynaud and one brother Howard Hyde. Married Robert Winn and had one child, Barry Robert. Married Albert LeRoy Godding had 3 children Brent Edward, Regina Mildred and Mark Albert. Married LeRoy Thomas Howard and had 1 child Thomas LeRoy. Married Anthonius Johannes Landaal and had 1 child Anne Christine. Carol Ann was a dedicated professional woman. She worked all her life and retired from the Utah State Disability Office. She enjoyed tole painting, shopping, music, theater, reading, playing the piano and travel. She was a big flirt and loved romantic movies. She loved flowers, especially Geraniums and Tulips. Carol Ann at 80 years old was fortunate enough to find someone special to spend the rest of her life with, Jerry Romrell. She was a member of the LDS Church.
Carol is survived by her spouse Jerry Romrell; children, Barry (Rhonda) Godding, Gina (Bruce) Bodtker, Mark (Linda) Godding, Thomas Howard, Anne Cloward (Patrick); daughter in law Ruth Godding; stepchildren, Marie (Don) Miller, Alyda (Dave) Tomlin, Jody (Doug) Armstrong, and Tony Landaal; brother Howard (Sharon) Hyde; sister Margene Raynaud; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren with one on the way, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her spouse Anthonious (Tony) Landaal; son Brent Godding and step great granddaughter Ashley Tomlin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.larkincares.com.
