Howard R. Atkin Obituary
Howard R. Atkin
1955 ~ 2014
Howard R. Atkin, 59, passed away Sunday evening surrounded by his family on June 1, 2014. Our family has suffered a great loss by the sudden death of our dear Howard. He was a kind and sweet father, son, uncle, brother, friend to everyone who knew and loved him.
He was proud to be alumni of Skyline High School. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Orioles, University of Utah football, and any team that played BYU. Go Utes! His passions were cooking (especially his famous lasagna), golf, listening to rock and roll, driving bus, and making us laugh.
He is survived by his loving friend, Tracy Atkin, his children, Krista Lewis (Aaron), George Atkin (Jen), David Atkin, seven grandchildren, his loving mother Christine Edmunds, siblings Connie Conroy (Don), Carol Anderson (Terry), Christopher Atkin (Lisa), Suzanne Atkin, Jamie Melcher (Tony). He is preceded in death by his father, Howard R. Atkin, father, George F. Edmunds, and brother, David R. Atkin.
Services will be held Tuesday June 10th at noon at the First Baptist Church 777 S. 1300 E. Friends can visit family at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 S. Highland Dr.
"And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! Would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son!"
