Christopher Phillip Wach Obituary
May 22, 1967 ~ June 8, 2014
Chris Wach passed away peacefully at his home on June 8, 2014 in West Jordan after five and a half years of battling cancer. Chris was born May 22, 1967 in Logan, Utah and attended Skyline High School. He served a mission in Brazil for the LDS church, and was so proud of his daughter currently serving in Portugal and his son who just received a mission call to Australia. He married his "Mary Poppins" (practically perfect in every way!), Ricki JoAnn Ingles, in the Manti Temple on Friday the 13th of April 1990. They have five beautiful children whom Chris loved greatly. He worked at both Franklin Covey and Verizon Wireless. Chris was a friend to all who knew him. He was a child at heart and loved kids of all ages, always having a song, magic trick or nickname ready. Chris loved anything Disney! He drew an excellent Mickey Mouse and could do a spot-on Donald Duck impression. He really enjoyed taking trips with his family to Disneyland and Disney World. In fact, if you let him, he would happily help you plan your vacation there too! He loved the thrill of roller coasters, but he also loved the quiet of camping. Chris was always devoted to the scouting program and served valiantly for many years. He volunteered his time by serving at his children's schools as well as coaching their Jr. Jazz basketball teams and cheering the high school cross country team on. Chris never complained about the life he was given, and he made the most of every day, living life to the fullest. He spent every moment living his devotion to his faith, family and friends. He was an inspiration of strength in the face of adversity and touched many lives with his courage and commitment to his family. We are happy to know that he is free of the pain he suffered for so long. To truly know Chris Wach, was to love him.
Chris is survived by his wife Ricki JoAnn Ingles Wach and their five children: Megan, Ryan, Taylor, Jacob, Katie; parents Phillip Hanby Wach and Elizabeth Olson Wach and sisters Laurel (Brian) Clifford, Diana (Eric) Evensen and Marla Wach (sister in law). Preceded in death by: Camille Wach (sister) and David Wach (brother)
