June 18, 2014, We lost our Loving husband, father, brother and friend. Born 3-4-1929 to Rudolph Allen Mackey and Edna Melina Mackey in Watertown, NY. He graduated from Waterown High school, served in the United States Air Force then attended college at BYU & the UofU. Married Patricia Howland, 3-3-1951 later divorced. He married his loving wife Grace on November 23, 1973.
He worked in several different professions, but his love was his wood working and The "Cedar Store", their business which he and Grace personally built. He was a very active member in the Lions club for 18 years in Ione, WA volunteered many years on the Pend Orelle Valley Train. He always had so many stories to be told that kept everyone on their toes and laughing.
Preceded in death by his parents and step son Troy Wardle. Survived by his loving wife Grace, children Steve (Nancy) Mackey, Tom (Judy) Mackey, Paul (Marla) Mackey, Crystal (Gary) Tuter and step children Lance (Denise) Wardle, Shirl (Melissa) Wardle, Gay (Jim) Chapman. Siblings David (Irene) Mackey, Carol (Eddie) Sorts, Richard (Bonnie) Mackey, Herb (Cathy) Mackey, Barbara Angel, many nieces and nephews, 17 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and an extended group of friends and family.
A viewing will be held Sunday June 22, 2014 at 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. - followed by funeral services on Monday June 23, 2014 11:00 A.M. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 South 2200 West, Riverton, Utah 84065.
