She graduated from West High school and married her high school sweetheart Richard A. Griffiths Jr. on July 10, 1945 in Key West, Florida during W.W.II. Lorraine is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is a loving, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and example to all. She loved her family dearly. She was an extremely hard worker who never met a challenge that she could not master. She was always thinking of others before herself. Lorraine is survived by her son Dennis (Kay), her daughter Julie Carpenter (David), her sister Voilet Coleman (Ernest), brothers Earl (Bernice) and Roger (Linda), 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 10:00am at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. The family will receive friends from 9:00am to 10:00am before the service Saturday. Entombment will be held following the service at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
