Bruce Maxwell Eyre

Salt Lake City, UT-Passed away on July 8, 2014 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born on March 23, 1925 in Downs, Wyoming to John and Emma Jane Eyre. He married Vera Jean Stafford on November 21, 1947. Bruce attended the school for the Deaf in Ogden, Utah, where he learned carpentry, printing, barbering and shoe shop. He especially enjoyed machine shop. He went to Weber State and learned the trade of Machinest. He enjoyed doing magic tricks, pantomime, bowling and especially playing horse shoes. He loved being around people. He loved teaching American Sign Language to all who had the desire to learn. He was an active member of the Deaf community, and served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his children; Cheryl Eyre, Kent (Debbie) Eyre, Gary (Melani) Eyre, Annette Eyre. 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and all of his siblings. He also lost his beloved companion of 66 years Vera Jean last October. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 11, 2014 at 11:00a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan with a viewing from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment at Redwood Memorial Mortuary.
