Ludvik Peric-Golia Obituary

Ludvik Peric- Golia was born April 12, 1926 in Ljubljana, Slovenia to Ludvik and Cirila Golia Peric, two months following his father's death. His last name was changed to Peric-Golia after his uncle Pavel Golia adopted him on October 10, 1934.
Graduated from Medical School, University of Ljubljana 1951, and completed internship and residency in anatomic pathology, University of Ljubljana 1951-1957. At the University Of Utah School Of Medicine he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biochemistry 1957-1958 and in the department of Pathology 1958-1959. Subsequently, he served as Instructor to Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology, University of Utah School of Medicine 1959-1991. After he retired from active service, he was appointed Associate Professor Emeritus of Pathology 1991. He served as pathologist at the Salt Lake Veterans Administration Medical Center 1965-1991.
Preceded in death by his parents and his wife Milena Peric-Golia and sister Marjana Peric.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 9, 10:00 am at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church 1975 South 2300 East. Friends may visit one half hour prior. Funeral Director's Neil O'Donnell & Sons.
