Our gentle, kind and loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather Clarence Lynn Harward, age 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 3, 2014 following a short battle with cancer. Clarence was born in Salem, UT on May 14, 1938 to Arthur Lynn Harward and Clarissa Tidwell Harward Scow. He married Betty Jo Warner on June 30, 1960; sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with four wonderful children. His family meant the world to him and he enjoyed spending time with them. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he held various positions. He loved the Savior and had a strong testimony and was a great example to others. He served in the US Air Force and received an honorable discharge. He worked in the floor covering industry for many years. He was an avid U of U basketball/football fan and loved bowling, fishing, camping and hunting. He was adored by his family and will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Betty of 54 yrs; and their four children; Lori, Troy (Natalie), Steve (Teresa), Stacie (Dirk) his brother, Larry (Margie) and twelve grandchildren.
Special thanks to Intermountain Hospice for their loving care. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray Hillside LDS Chapel 435 E. 5600 S. Murray, UT. Viewings will be held Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 S. State, Murray, UT and 10:00-10:45 at the LDS church prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
