Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Irene Davis East, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014, in Heber City, Utah.
Born March 22, 1944 in Heber City, Utah, the daughter of Roy E. and Phyllis Graham Davis. Irene grew up in Wallsburg and graduated from Wasatch High School. Married Allen Ray Birch and was blessed with two children, later divorced. Married Glen J. East who brought two daughters with him into the family.
Irene and Glen owned and operated the Towne and Country Tavern and White Horse Lounge. She also worked at the Wagon Wheel restaurant as well as with Glen in construction. Some of her favorite pastimes included a love of cooking for everyone, doing yard work, knitting sweaters and slippers, and a love of animals especially her dogs.
Mom was one of the most loving and caring people we've known. We know she is in a better place, but we sure will miss her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Glen; four children: Ray (Lorie Nicol) Birch, Michelle (Clyde) Crook, Angel Armijo, Debbie (Greg) Paulos; son-in-law, Pete Armijo; seven grandchildren, 14 beautiful great-grandchildren; and sister, Elaine Boyden. She is preceded in death by both parents; brother, Lenn Davis; grandson, Cody Ray Crook; and brother-in-law, Ray Boyden
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 - 1:00 PM in the Wallsburg LDS Church, 494 West Main Canyon Road, Wallsburg, Utah. Viewing will be Saturday from 11:00 - 12:30 PM prior to the services at the LDS Church. Interment will follow the services in the Wallsburg Cemetery.
