"Will Be Missed"
Our beloved mother, Betty Crank Goldrick, passed away August 5, 2014, in her home. She was born October 7, 1926 to Rector and Selma Crank. She married Howard F. Goldrick on July 3, 1947; he preceded her in death. Their marriage was later sealed in the Jordan River Temple on February 2, 1990.
Betty was raised in Colorado where she spent many happy hours with her 5 siblings among the countryside she loved so much, but her greatest joy came from being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren and having them spend the night so she could spoil them.
She was a professional seamstress, having retired from Beehive Clothing after 25 years. She used these skills to dress her children and, later, her grandchildren. She served her community and church in many capacities throughout her life, and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Betty raised 3 daughters in Millcreek, finding much happiness in hosting their families for holidays and many other occasions. Later, she moved to a retirement community where she was blessed with many friends and opportunities to socialize.
She is survived by: Frances Nielson (Brian), Marsha Catmull (William), Anna Lucero (Michael); many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Harmon Ward, Oldham Chapel, 3671 S. Oldham St. (4180 W), with a viewing one hour prior to services. An evening viewing will be Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
