Obituary Condolences

Wanda Checketts Palmer Preston, Idaho Wanda Checketts Palmer slipped away from mortality Oct. 23, 2009, to a glorious reunion with her eternal companion and other loved ones. She dedicated her life to the Lord and her family. Born in Weston, Idaho November 16, 1919, she married William Dean Palmer on December 19, 1941 in the Logan Temple. She spent the first few years of married life living in Florida where her husband served in the military. In 1946 she returned to Preston with her husband to live and raise eight children. She served faithfully with her husband as an officiator in the Logan LDS Temple for 12 years. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and creating beauty in her home and garden. She is survived by her eight children: William D. Jr. (Kelly), Sandy, Tayna Godfrey (Bill), Pocatello, Dennis N. Palmer (Jeanette), Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Bradley C. Palmer, (DeeAnn), Farmington, Paula Titensor (Sid), Preston, Dr. R. Clair Palmer (Valerie), Farmington, Lynnie Foster (Kim), Providence, Dr. Laurence R. Palmer (Trudy), Ogden, 34 grandchildren, (two current missionaries), 36 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers Lynn and Wendell Checketts, and four sisters, Edna Jensen, Evelyn Morgan, Connie Stewart and Opal Parkinson. Preceded in death by her husband, W. Dean Palmer, parents Andrew and Dora Checketts, brothers, Clyde and Norrell Checketts and sisters, Joyce Call, and Nita Cutler. Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, October 30, 2009 in the Preston 8th Ward Meetinghouse, 213 South, 2nd East. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, and, Friday at 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
