ADA ANDERSON Obituary
Ada Anderson 1/27/1910 ~ 12/5/2009 Ada was born in Gatesville, Oklahoma to Maria and Willie Mayo. She was the seventh of 11 children, all of whom preceded Ada in death. Married to Oliver T. Anderson for 41 years, they lived many happy years in the Rose Park area of Salt Lake, raising their daughter, Odessa. Oliver preceded Ada in death in 1979. Ada is survived by Odessa Peake, her granddaughter, Kimberly (Peake) Kelly and husband Harold Kelly, and two great-grandchildren, Tristan Kelly, 23, and Bryson Kelly, 20. Odessa's husband, Humphrey Guy, passed away in 1999. Ada has many surviving nieces and nephews as well. Ada loved to tell her life's stories, watch baseball and wrestling, play checkers, garden in her yard, cook, and laugh with her family. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Ada had a profound faith in our Grand Creator. Until the last few years when her health began to fail, Ada's memory was as keen as ever and her physical and mental strength were amazing. We will miss her dearly. Viewing will be Thursday, Dec 10, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Funeral services for Ada will be held Friday, Dec. 11th, at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
