Aunt Alice, It was always a pleasure to visit with you. You always had a kind word and beautiful smile for all around you. You will be missed, but we know you are in a better place with all of those that have gone before you. Please say hello and tell my Grandpa and Grandma Holland I miss them every day and they have come to me in dreams often so I know they are watching over me and my family. Thoughts for a smile.

To the Holland families and to Mary and Lee McCann, whom I met in Houston, I wish to extend my sympathies in the loss of this wonderful woman. I only met Alice twice, I think, but I still remember how welcoming and warm she was to me when I met her at one of the Snow family reunions. How much I enjoyed hearing the stories of how as a youth, she would catch a ride with the mail wagon on its journey from St. George to Central where she would then be met by my grandfather, Levi Snow, who would take her on to Pine Valley for a visit. She told of how she would bundle up in blankets, lie on the back of the wagon, and enjoy gazing up at the stars. I was also impressed with Alice's thoughtfulness in sending a Christmas card to my mother, Cherril Snow Lloyd, Alice's first cousin, just a few weeks ago. I know you will all miss Alice dearly, and the Lloyd family sends their love and their prayers.

I have never met Sister Holland, but I was touched by the beautiful words that were spoken about her by Elder Holland in Conference, and I'm saddened to hear of her passing. Thank you for sharing her example with those of us outside her realm of influence. May the Lord bless you all with His spirit at this time. It seems you have been blessed to share your lives with a very special lady.

Dear Holland Family,
On behalf of my family please convey our deepest sympathies on the passing of Sister Alice Holland. Wow! She was a special lady for many of us in St George. I am serious. Many, many young men and women were touched and inspired by her influence for good over them. St George was a small community back in the 50’s and 60’s as we grew up and Sister Holland knew us all very well. I have great memories of her influence in my life in both elementary and high school. Our family will forever be grateful for having been touched and inspired by Sister Holland.

To the Holland Family: Tuesday evening I received a message that my dear friend Alice Holland had died.
Since then, many memories of our relationship have come to my mind.
A few years ago we learned that we shared ancestors--She descended from Robert Gardner and I from Archibald Gardner.
I visited Alice twice in her home. And many letters were sent from Hooper to St George and visa-versa.
I treasure the memories of Alice and I feel that a special friend has gone to her reward.

Dear Holland Family,
Alice was true joy and such a treasure to all of us who knew her and loved her. I pray that you will feel comfortable and love at this time and always. Our memories of her are a great treasure to hold on to until the time comes when we can see her again. What a life she lived and did is so well. She is such a great example to all of us. The world is a little less light without her. But by following her example her light can shine here again from living as she did. My love and prayers are being sent your way.

We extend our best wishes and love to the Holland family -- whom we have known and associated with since the mid-1950s. This was a remarkably good woman; of that, there would be no doubt. The sunlight surely did dim a little, but we're guessing then surged brighter as she passed. Love to all of the family.
