Obituary Condolences

Jean E. Ronald 1928 ~ 2011 "Cubs Win! Cubs Win!" Our mother, Jean E. Ronald, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family February 4, 2011. Jean was born on Mothers Day May 14th, 1928 in Prescott, Washington and grew up during the depression on a large wheat farm with an older sister and three older brothers. She graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Sociology in 1951. That same year she married Charles H. Ronald and together they had two sons, Robert E. Ronald (Nonie) and Kevin C. Ronald (Barbara). She was proud of her two sons and even more so to be a grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren. Jean was an outstanding cook and also an excellent gardener. She often said she had dirt in her veins from growing up on a farm and it showed in her ability to grow flowers and vegetables. Jean's other passion/joy was watching sporting events, especially her grand-children's events. She never missed a little league game or Jr. basketball game and was usually the one cheering the loudest. She loved the Chicago Bears and yes, she was a true Cubs fan. She saw many games at the "Friendly Confines" of Wrigley field. We would like to thank the wonderful staff - the nurses and CNA's at Avalon Valley Care Center for taking such loving care of our mother these last two years. You made such a huge difference in her life and we are forever thankful for your compassion and love. Her journey will be easier now. At her request, there will be no funeral. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date and interment will be in Walla Walla, Washington. May the road rise up to meet your feet, may the breeze always be in your face, may your path always be in peace.
