JAMES DUGGER Obituary
James Melvin Dugger 1925 ~ 2011 James Dugger passed away February 23, 2011 at his home in Kearns Utah. He was born July 13, 1925. He married Katherine Murdock Dugger on August 30, 1944. James retired from the Salt Lake County Public Works. He spent all of his time playing guitar and singing gospel music. He loved working on the house. He loved his grandkids and great-grandkids very much. He was a member of the New Testament Baptist church. He loved his family and church family. His special son Larry was his pride and joy, and they did everything together. He was in the Navy for 3 and a half years, serving in the South Pacific. He witnessed the peace treaty being signed with Japan. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Katherine; children, J Bruce (Charlene), Margaret (Steve) Maxfield, Steven M, Susan (Leon) Headrick, and Larry Jon; grandkids, Nickie, John, Becky, and Dustin; and seven great-grandkids whom he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed by all of his family. We will miss his music. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S Redwood Road. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
