Gary Cooper Obituary
Gary D. Cooper 5/24/1939 ~ 2/23/2011 Gary Cooper, 71, passed away peacefully at home February 23, 2011. In the days prior to his passing his family and friends took comfort in visiting with him and know they will meet again. Gary and his wife, Rosemary Weaver Cooper, were married on December 26, 1961. Their union was later solemnized at the Salt Lake City LDS temple. Gary is survived by his wife Rosemary and their boys - Allen, Thomas, Cory, Danny, and James. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Anne Anderson Cooper. Gary was born on May 24th, 1939 in Oak City, Utah. He was passionate about helping others and made friends in everything he did. Gary enjoyed camping and hunting. He was loved in his church and community and especially by his family, who will miss him greatly. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salt Lake 4th Ward, 142 West 200 North, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Salt Lake City, and again one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
