DEAN REDD Obituary
Dean F. Redd 9/18/1928 ~ 6/20/2011 Dean Francis Redd, 82, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 in Delta. Born Sept. 18, 1928 to Joseph Francis and Clara Mable Hansen Redd. Married Carol Crump in 1947 and they later divorced. Married Karen Annette Hendrickson, Aug. 9, 1958. Graduated Glenwood Springs High School on May 1, 1946 and shortly after joined US Marines and served his country well. Worked many years for telephone company, then worked for Lenkerd Electric - sending him to work in many foreign countries including Africa and Puerto Rico. Avid hunter and spent much time hunting on his ranch in Colorado. Had many loves including farming and attending National Finals Rodeo for 20 years and, one of his special memories, going on safari to Africa with his son. Active member of LDS Church. Survived by wife of 53 years; children: Randy (Mary Lynn) Redd, AZ; Dusty Ann (Camron) Clegg, Bountiful; Susan Lin, CA: Eric (Suzanne) Redd, Kamas; Kathy (Colman) Nay, West Jordan; Amber (Matt) Sim, CA; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grand-children; sisters: Carolyn (Myron) McAllister, Richfield; Judith (Bob) Knight, ID. Preceded in death by brother: Gary Joe Redd; grandchildren: Jacen Chase, Mae Berrett. Services: Saturday, June 25, 2011, 11 a.m., Hinckley LDS Chapel. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, Delta on Friday evening, 7- 8 p.m. and at church on Sat., 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial Hinckley Cemetery.
