"Betty Boop"
Our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betty Jean Fox (Betty Boop) passed away unexpectedly at age 61 on Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Bountiful, Utah. Betty was born April 1, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George Lewis and Betty Peterson. She married her childhood sweetheart, Bill Kierstead. She loved to garden and was a wonderful cook. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. She had many friends that loved her and who will miss her. Betty was a wonderful, caring person to everyone that she met. You couldn't help but love this woman after meeting her. She will forever be missed and loved by all those who knew her.
Betty is survived by her children, Steven Kierstead (Stacy), Sheryl Kierstead, Sheldon Kierstead, and Stacie Kierstead; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; her father and stepmother Teddy; siblings, Judy Jimenez (Herb), Bill Lewis, Talene Dinse (Hans), Dawn Barker (Rod), Terry Wanner (Alan), and Raquel Busch.
She is preceded in death by her mother and ex-husband.

Betty was one of my favorite people...she always had something nice to say and gave me good advice in ALOT of stupid situations I found myself in. Dear Betty's Fam... I am very sorry about your loss. I didn't know her that well, but she did stand out in a positive way. I am a good listener if you need somebody to talk to. To Betty's Family, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. As you know, and I am proud to say, Betty was a very good friend of mine. And to Betty, I will miss you!!! You were a very close friend of mine and I loved you. I only wish I had known you were so sick, I would have come to see you. I will regret that for the rest of my life. I passed your home so many times and said to myself I should stop by and visit, but I never did and I am very sorry for that. God bless you, and I know God will welcome you with open arms because you were so kind to others and always willing to help your friends and family when ever you could. I just wish I could have given you one more hug before you left us. I know I will see you again and will have a chance to tell you I am sorry in person.
