Moroni, UT-Dern Chapman of Moroni passed away July 2, 2012 in Nephi, UT. He was born December 7, 1921 in Ftn. Green, UT to Welcome & LaVern Mathis Chapman. Married Ethelyn Morley Nov. 18, 1946 in Elko, NV. Dern is survived by his wife, children, Carolyn & Duane Lund, Murray,UT; Suzanne Simons, Moroni, UT; Linda & Gary Richards, Moroni,UT. Preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Milton Vern Chapman, Carol Ann Hall, sons-in-law, Roger Sorensen & ElRay Simons. Funeral services will be held Monday July 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Moroni LDS Stake Center (82 N Center) with a viewing from 11:00 - 12:30 prior to services at the church. Interment in the Moroni City Cemetery with Military Honors. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com.

R.I.P. Grandpa I will cherish all the memories...I will NEVER forget all of the time spent together, the long rides, all of the stories around the camp fire. You was like a father to me, and a grandpa to all of my friends Elk camp will never be the same. "Hey Haw You Lost" will echo through C Canyon !!!!! Cheers to you old kid I Love You
