Paul Beard Wainwright Obituary
1928 ~ 2012
Paul Beard Wainwright, 84, returned to his Father in Heaven on Sunday, November 18, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Paul was born on July 27, 1928 in Evanston, Wyoming to Earl and Gladys Betsy (Beard) Wainwright. He served an LDS mission in the Eastern States Mission. He married his sweetheart, Barbara (Eschler), in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1954. They settled and raised their three children in the East Millcreek area.
Paul held degrees in Music from BYU and Accounting from the U of U. Paul and Barbara's dance band, The Vibratones, entertained for more than half of a century. He composed hundreds of songs and played numerous instruments, including piano, saxophone, and vibraphone. He also enjoyed playing piano at The Tiffin Room, Joseph Smith Memorial Building, LDS Conference Center, and other venues. He passed on his love of music and theater to his family. Paul also worked at Federal Reserve Bank from which he retired after 35 years. He was a faithful member of the LDS church and served in many positions, including Ward and Stake Clerk, Executive Secretary, and various music positions. He was also a member of the Sons of Utah Pioneers. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Some of his fondest memories with his family were of times spent at their cabin, Glendale, in Upper Weber Canyon.
Paul is survived by his wife, Barbara, and children, Mark (Lilyan), Brent (Kim), and Jennifer (David) Jolley, and fourteen grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Naomi (Irving) Moore.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Millcreek Canyon Ward LDS Meetinghouse, 3640 East Millstream Lane (3510 South), Salt Lake City, Utah. Family and Friends may pay respects Friday evening, November 23, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah, and prior to the service on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
