Mr. Christensen was the finest music teacher a student could ever have. I had the opportunity at Bountiful Junior HIgh to have him in 1970/71. Talk about a dedicated teacher! He booked us performances at a church nearly every Sunday. We sang at the giant tree at Cottonwood Mall. We did a school play. He expected discipline in class and he earned it.
I don't remember much about any other teachers in junior high, except Mr. Christensen.Any student who was serious about learning and auditioned, was accepted in his class. One of the greatest days in my life was when I saw my name on "the list" posted outside his class door.
I still wake up and run through the exercises eeeeeee---aaaaaa----ahhhhhhhh----ohhhhhhh-ewwwwwww------
Thank you Sir, for being that one in a million teacher!

I will miss our talks. Gary and I shared the same birthday, a love of music and an appreciation of dry humor. He was truly a great man and an inspiration. He will be missed by all of us at Hearts for Hospice!

Uncle Gary was an amazing man who never gave up. His musical talents were appreciated by all. I loved hearing his clear tenor voice when we sang songs at Christmas time. My mom loved being his older sister, he was so supportive of her when she battled her cancer.I know there will be an amazing chorus going on in Heaven now that he is there with his family members.
