John passed away after a a prolonged period of ill health. He retired from the Salt Lake City Police Department as a highly decorated and recognized officer. After retirement, he was Chief Investigator for the State Medical Examiner and lastly working for Bluffdale City Public Works.
John is survived by his sons; Jason (Molly), Alex (Tabitha), and Cameron (Kaycee), seven grandchildren who he adored, and his companion Tracy. He was preceded by his parents, Ida and Melvin Foster.
As per John's wishes, he will be cremated without interment or services.
On behalf of John and his family, we would like to express our gratitude to his many friends and colleagues over the years. We would also like to thank those who aided us in his final days.
We hope you finally have the peace you deserve, Dad.
