Robert Carlos Behunin Obituary
1934 ~ 2013
Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Robert Carlos Behunin passed away on December 29, 2013 from Kidney Cancer. Having fought a brave battle with dignity and courage, always saying he was "fine" to anyone that inquired.
Robert was born on February 15, 1934 to Edna Lucille Seamons and Carlos Vardon Behunin in Salt Lake City Utah. He lived his entire life in SLC. Graduated from South High where he met the love of his life Wanda Pearce. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 19, 1955. They were blessed with four wonderful children.
His membership in the LDS Church meant to much to him in his life. He served his church with a loyal and loving heart with much faith and love. He served in five different Bishoprics for 15 years.
He was a perfectionist in all he did. Beginning with our cabin in Soapstone that he and his father built 50 years ago. He owned and operated Behunin Masonry. Every brick he placed in the wall was total perfection. He loved to hunt, fish, boat and travel. He made life worth living for everyone. Of course his family and church were the first in his life. Being a very honest, loving, kind and gentle man he made many friends. Life will now have a very large void for those left behind. You are loved so much! Your Family.
Survived by his sweet wife; children, Pamela (Gary) Whatcott; Blake (Sherrie) Behunin; Angela (Joseph) Baird; Benjamin Behunin; 14 grandchildren, 12 1/2 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna; brother, David; grandbaby, Amy Kay Whatcott; great grandson, Cole Gary Whatcott.
A special Thank You to Dr. John Whisenant and Jane MacPherson of IMHC Caner Center. Also to Quality Solace Services for their kindness, compassion and tender care. A special thanks to Shayla, Chris, Katrina, JoAlba and Russ, not only did you take care of Dad you eased our minds and hearts. "You are our favorites."
