L'Wren Scott Obituary
L'Wren Scott, 49, of London, England, passed away March 17, 2014 in New York City. She was born April 28, 1964, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The daughter of Ivan Jonathan and Lula Randall Bambrough, both deceased. She graduated from Roy High School in 1982.
As a tall teenager, she took her first steps in image-making by creating her own clothes. Her look got noticed. Taking off to Paris as a model, she eventually found herself far more absorbed by the skills and artistry of dress making than walking the runway. After moving to Los Angeles, she began to work as a stylist and acquired prestigious commissions as a creative director for fashion advertising campaigns, as well as working as a costume designer for film.
She took the experience of years of privately designing special dresses to the next level and launched her own company in 2006 and designed and sold clothing, handbags, sunglasses and perfume.
She is survived by longtime boyfriend Mick Jagger, brother Randall Bambrough and sister Jan Shane.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family Friday April 11th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
