Rose Call Obituary

"Sissy"
Oct. 18, 1944 to June 5, 2014
"The Fairest Rose in the Garden"-Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, wife, niece, aunt, cousin, friend and mentor.
No words can describe our loss. She was a beauty with a voice to match. She was a wise astrologer and a great listener. She was a second mother to her younger siblings and a friend to her children's friends. She was well-read and very knowledgeable about history, politics and health. She was a natural healer, animal lover, doting grandmother, and the coolest mom imaginable. She was the epitome of strength tempered with grace and she can never be replaced. She was battling leiomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer, when she succumbed to pneumonia.
Preceded in death by her father, Edwin Ross Burgon; mother Rose Alene Chandonia; step father Alfred R. Chandonia; brother Lee Burgon (DeAnn) and step brothers Jeff Chandonia (Betsy) and Mark Chandonia (Kim).
Survived by siblings Margie Klemp, David Burgon (Kathy), Mary Kay Scott (Tom), Elizabeth Sheppard (Clinton); daughters Stephanie Falcon (Victor) their children Stephan, Julian and Mikah; Laura Beckstrom (Jeff) their children Izabella and Albion; Rose Alene Studstrup her children Alex, Ben, Josh, Sam and Rachel; Angela Call-Van Diggelen (Andre) their son Zen; Michael "Mickey" Call (former spouse) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
We would like to thank the staff of St. Mark's Hospital's Critical Care Unit for their compassionate care.
A wake will be held on Tuesday, June 10 from 6:00-8:00pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building.

I will always remember Aunt Sissy for her humor, compassion, strength, and grace. I've never met, nor ever expect to meet a woman again, with such inherent dignity. She will remain an inspiration to all who had the amazing good fortune to know her.

Aunt Sissy, I will always remember you for your grace, beauty, and kindness. Bless you.

The thing I will remember most about is how she carried out her spiritual mission to all her family, and the courage she showed in battling a deadly disease. She inspired us all.
