Delmar Dee Thomas Obituary
Delmar Dee Thomas
May 30, 1935 ~ June 7, 2014
Dee passed in the evening Saturday June 7th in his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Pocatello, Idaho to Mary Blanche Daniels & Claude Owens Thomas. Dad graduated from Pocatello High School where he was a swimmer and played football. As a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, he served as a communications expert in the Korean War. Dad's most recent and fulfilling employment was his duty as a school crossing guard. The highlight of his day was helping "his" kids safely get to and from school. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and planning "Grinchmas." Anyone who knew Dad, knew he was a "merry prankster" with a tireless sense of humor. He always said "I've had three wives who were great housekeepers...they all kept the house."
Dee is survived by his sister Klaudine Fae Keil; cousin Marilyn Colson (Bob); children Tari Thomas, Kim McDaniel, Scott (Lorraine) Thomas, Greg (Sheila) Thomas; grandchildren Christine, Christina, Shane, BranDee, Rachel, Michael; and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as his beloved nieces and many friends.
Join us for a Celebration of Dad's life at 12 noon on Saturday June 21, 2014 at the Cottonwood Coves Clubhouse 300 E Gordon Ln, Murray, UT 84107. He will be interred at Malad City Cemetery at a later date.
Thanks to the team at Inspiration Hospice who took wonderful care of our dad and were a great support to us all.
We'll miss you dearly. "See ya on the 19th hole."
