Harmon Clyde Carpenter
1921 ~ 2014
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather. On the day of June the 23rd Harmon passed away peacefully at his home. He was born on July the 28th 1921 in Delta, Utah to Eunice and Clyde Carpenter. Graduated from Jordan High School, and served in the United States Army during World War II in the South Pacific. He married Margaret F. Thompson on September 2nd 1947 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and lived by her until his passing.
He worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad. He was a renowned poultry farmer for many years. He served on the board of directors for Transwest Credit Union during the establishment of the credit union. He had a great love for many particular things including; gardening, raising livestock, and fishing. A devoted Lutheran, he was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survived by His wife Margaret; his son Richard (Kathy) Carpenter; his grandsons Matthew, and Samuel, he was also loved by their respective girlfriends Jessica, and Ellie; his sister Bonnie Houser; and a great deal of cherished friends.
Services will be Friday, June 27, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens chapel, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) with a viewing from 11:00 am to Noon.
The family would like to thank CNS Hospice for their care of Dad in his last days.
